SSB Screening Test
This article is about the major Reasons for Getting Screened Out in SSB Screening Test. First of all this article is specially for SSB Fresher and also those Candidates who gets every time screened out during the SSB Interview Stage 1 Screening Test. In recent times the number of screen out candidates is very high. And despite of the best efforts , the failure are high at the initial screening test at SSBs.
Here are the some of the Major Reasons for Getting Screened Out in SSB Screening Test.
1) Low Assimilation Skills
Candidates get rejected due to low assimilation skill, which is also immediately noticed by the highly experienced assessors. Candidate does not have clear idea of what he has seen in the picture or what he has written in the story. Candidates is completely detached from what is shown in the picture. This becomes one of the Reasons for Getting Screened Out in SSB Screening Test.
2) Poor Communication skills both verbal and non verbal
Candidate is not able to express his ideas and views clearly. No body is able to get what he wanted to say exactly as he had poor communication skills. If you are not able to express your self infront of a group in , then how you will be able to express your views in future. This also becomes one of the Reasons for Getting Screened Out in SSB Screening Test.
Sometimes a negative scene may immediately triggers the negative thoughts in you. And this negativity is reflected in the story candidate writes. In a given situation , you starts thinking in negative manner, that can affect your decision making in future. This is why Positive thinking will help you motivate yourself as well as your team.
4) Preconceived Notion/ Wrong Coaching
This is one of the biggest reason for getting screened out in the SSB Stage I Screening test. Many candidates come with well mugged up stories in advance, or write exactly the same stories that are taught them in Coaching centres. This is easily noticed by the assessors, from your story and the manner in which you write them. By mugging up stories , you stop imaging and become rigid in your answers. Which also becomes one of the Reasons for Getting Screened Out in SSB Screening Test.
5) Low IQ (Basic Intelligence and Effective Intelligence)
This is another important thing which is seen in candidate in SSBs. In SSB there are two things which is tested in IQ.
Basic Intelligence and Effective Intelligence. Basic Intelligence is what is seen through your OIR (Officers Intelligence Rating) test and Effective intelligence is seen through practical testing, which you show in your stories, GTO tasks, Psychological testing, and interviews. If a candidate is lacking in IQ then it also becomes another reason for getting screened out in SSB Stage I Screening test.
6) Lack of basic analytical abilities
If candidate lacks in basic analytical abilities, where he can not follow simple instructions or the guidelines passed to
you from the Officers. And try to show or do things on his own, which he has learnt from somewhere and you can not reach to a point. Then this will surely affect candidates performance in the SSB. And also could be one of the reasons for getting screened out in SSB Stage I Screening test.
7) Poor Time Management
In SSB Stage I Screening test, poor time management means that you cannot complete your OIR(verbal and non verbal), your story writing, and also story narration in the group discussion in the given time frame. Then this also is one of the reasons for getting screened out in SSB Stage I Screening test.
8) Poor perception of numbers, figures and Genders
This where candidate are judged in PPDT and can also to getting screened out. As Candidates tries to fool SSB by writing their own story and can’t see what was shown in the picture. Information like the number of people shown and also the gender of characters. Many times the picture shows has a male person and people end up making a story on a female. This clearly shows you have written your own story which you learn. It is not the test of learning the answers and writing them. You should always write what you seen in the picture.
9) Lack of Imagination
Finally this is the last and also the most important factor why you are screened out? If candidate lacks in his imagination, then he can not see what picture is telling itself. When you are shown the story in PPDT and what you perceived tells everything about you. And what you don’t shows you have a lack of imagination you cannot see what the image says and you could have written in the story.
